Mortex is a decorative plaster technique based on natural minerals, lime, and cement. It is applied to MDF in liquid form, entirely by hand and with a spatula, giving each top a unique texture. After curing, the top is treated with a varnish. This layer provides extra protection against dirt and grease stains. The result is a durable top with the properties of natural stone. It is waterproof, heat- and crack-resistant, and wear- and scratch-resistant.
